Question
All these specific questions with no obvious answer: use data simulation!
Are my data too unbalanced? Why is my P-value not in line with the estimates? Is R2 useful when the AIC is very high, and can I use this model type? and so on and so on...
It is impossible to answer all these specific questions generally. There is, however, a (somewhat cumbersome) solution: simulate your data and with this full control over the truth, explore whether you modelling approach works!
We will do this at different levels of R competence, from simple simulations to more involved ones.
And we have a lot of things to check, not least whether indeed always the strong effects come through no matter how you analyse your data.
This workshop is part of a series (1-4) and addresses PhD students with an advanced level of statistics.
