Interdisciplinarity - Touching the Boundaries of your Research Field
The annual “Night of Science” is a great event that brings together researchers from the UNR Faculty. Everyone is invited to join us for inspiring, cross-disciplinary dialogue and learning.
Interdisciplinary collaboration is often presented as the most effective strategy to advance the science required for tackling complex environmental topics. At this year´s Night of Science we are excited to hear and debate how our faculty is dealing with this claim. We aim to take a deeper look at the boundaries and interfaces of our research fields.
Do PhD candidates, postdocs, and professors touch boundaries? If so, what are their experiences? Has their research on a boundary improved their findings, closed research gaps or extended their research interests? If not, where do they see potential for crossovers that could enhance scientific knowledge in their field?
At the Night of Science we will have some presentations from PhD candidates lined up, followed by a panel discussion with postdocs and faculty.
