Background

The faculty´s project "Bridging the Communication Gap" aims to contribute to an informed societal debate. A key objective of this project is to make scientific results of our faculty more accessible to audiences outside the scientific community, including the use of AI. However, direct communication by the researchers themselves remains an essential component of a credible and effective dialogue. The project therefore aims to give early career researchers like you the opportunity to develop skills in science communication.

The project "Bridging the Communication Gap" is funded by the Eva Mayr-Stihl Foundation and organised by the Dean´s Office.

Topics of the Workshop

  • Communicating professionally – Basics of science communication
  • Evolution of science communication: Communication change – from sending messages to dialogue
  • From target groups and media – Striking the right note
  • The core message – Talking about your topic and being understood
  • Trust in science – Important factors for more trustworthiness

The workshop will help you to

learn how to effectively communicate your research to audiences beyond the scientific community.

receive a participation certificate from NaWik – a valuable addition to your academic profile.

connect with other Early Career Researchers and communication professionals.
