Courses

A wide range of seminars and workshops supports ESGC Junior Fellows. Some of the courses will strengthen their knowledge in their specific field of research, others will train them on a more general level (soft skills) and provide them with skills necessary for successful research but also for jobs outside academia.  

Courses are offered on three different levels:

 

Participants of the graduate school are supported by a wide range of seminars and workshops. Some of the courses will strengthen their knowledge in their specific field of research, others will train them on a more general level (soft skills) and provide them with skills necessary for successful research but also for jobs outside academia.

In total 14 credit points have to be earned through enrolling in the above mentioned courses but also by performing tasks like presentations, participation in conferences, publications etc. It is up to the PhD candidate to decide upon the number of courses he/she wants to follow. An overview of the credits to be earned for the different types of obligations is available in the supplementary rules.
